I definitely prefer the first St. Vincent record to the second one.

Would y'all agree that each of her albums is better than the last? Because I think that's true, though I haven't listened to this one a whole lot so it might be better than Extraordinary Machine and I just don't know it.

No, I think the current album, while pretty good, is a sizable step back from Extraordinary Machines, which is easily her best.

Disagree a lot there.

It is.
And The Idler Wheel is a lot better than Extraordinary Machine to my ears, but still not as good as When the Pawn.

I agree with the order EM > When The Pawn > Tidal but I'm not sure if I like EM or Idler Wheel better. Idler Wheel is one of my favorite records of this decade.

Idler Wheel is outstanding. Extraordinary Machine is good but a little safe and middle-of-the-road.

Actually, I might like Idler Wheel even more than When the Pawn.

Agreed. I'm gonna go back and listen to When the Pawn again.

Also, the second Ramones album is an improvement on the first.

That run from Werewolf through to the end is so so good.

Maybe I liked the theatricality on EM a bit more. Every Single Night is outstanding, and Anything We Want - Hot Knife is a cool run, but the rest of that record didn't particularly excite me.
I think When The Pawn is the most consistently good of the four records, since EM falls off a bit int he back half. But the first half of EM is the highlight of her catalog for me.
