I'm hoping they are playing Coahella and will add more West Coast dates later. I can't believe they would have NO Cali dates.

Sub Pop announced that they will be putting out the box set. They suggest you shoot them an email to let them know you're interested and they'll inform you when the pre-order goes up. http://www.subpop.com/releases/mogwai/f ... rave_tapes

I'm liking "Remurdered." I'm gonna guess that like most of their first "singles," this won't quite sound like other songs on the album, but will be indicative of the overall tone and mood (the exception being "The Sun Smells Too Loud" which was an anomaly on its album).

E-mail sent. Thanks for the heads-up.

I just bought tix to see these guys in May in Nashville. I'm so excited about it that it really hasn't hit how much it's going to suck driving 6+ hours to get there.

"We're pleased to be able to premiere the video for 'The Lord Is Out Of Control' taken from our new record. Directed by our friend Antony Crook, the video was shot on location in Hawaii earlier this year. Hope you like it."

Yeah it's decent despite some plot holes and shitty acting sometimes.

never seen it, but that soundtrack is solid. kinda slipped through the cracks for me, but ive been listening to it lately.

also listened to Mr Beast yesterday for the first time in a while and I think I gave myself hearing damage. so great.

I love the feel of this album. I only listened to Remurdered a few times and the video for The Lord is Out of Control didn't do much for me. Hearing it in context of the album though really kind of blew me away. The song almost feels like it's breathing thanks to the under-polished vocorder. I guess Remurdered ->Hexon Bogon ->Replish make for a solid middle and I'm excited to see where these songs go in a live setting.

I'll be very interested in the reaction to this record.
Spoiler: show
I love it, but could see it being too mellow for some people.

Always nice to hear Stuart on vocals.

Highlights after two listens are Heard About You Last Night, Hexon Bogon and No Medicine For Regret. And I love Remurdered.

I liked it a lot.

Yeah, its mellow...more synth oriented maybe? Am talking out loud but..i guess it would be nice if they challenge themselves a little bit more...i mean, why not releasing an album of pop oriented songs?

I haven't heard any Mogwai since Come On Die Young, maybe I'll check this out.
