You know what's also a good Stones song? "Thru and Thru". I think Keith Richard sings that one. It was in a Sopranos episode. David Chase has really good taste.

You honestly don't like songs like Shine a Light, Moonlight Mile, Stray Cat Blues, Monkey Man, Dead Flowers, Rocks Off, Soul Survivor, Sway, Salt of the Earth, etc.?
I love you mention both Sway and Moonlight Mile.

The stones are probably the opposite of this thread

Real Talk: I hate Wild Horses. That song is a giant, wet fart noise.

Rolling Stones are automatically disqualified because "Cocksucker Blues" isn't a hit and it's fucking awesome.

Yeah, "hate" is too strong of a word. I take that back. But it's one of the songs I've heard by the Stones that I like the least. I'd go so far as to say it's one of my least favorite songs in all of Classic Rock.

Actually, I do like some of those songs. And conversely, there are plenty of their singles that I can't stand. So maybe it is less that they are a singles band for me and more that the songs I really like by them are sporadic and few, regardless of their commercial aspirations. "Moonlight Mile" is definitely great.

I had a rather lengthy response typed up, but I'll just leave this here instead. It's pretty much the best song on Exile and in so way is it a "hit".

Gone
The Ground Beneath Her Feet
Miracle Drug

Miracle Drug is one of my five least favorite U2 songs ever. But man, the people I know who do like that song always seem to LOVE it. I guess there's just no middle ground with it.

Very true. Luckily, he has Gone on that list which is just outstanding, one of my all time fave U2 songs.
