define "murderer," "thug," "person," "sniper," and "concept"
No
i'm sorry, don't get upset. please don't kill me.
Then don't pick up the rocket launcher
american sniper seems like a profound examination of the moral quandary of soberly making a series of important decisions, over a long period of time, that ultimately lead to having to post on RM
FTFY
the difference is negligible
True
are you interested in directing American Poster, the story of a poor boy from alabama who had no choice but to devote his life to the dehumanizing experience of RM?
I think Michael Haneke is already doing this

BDB wrote:the movie is just slightly better than the book, although that is not hard to accomplish. so relatively speaking it still sucked.
it was choppy, and no real story line was developed except for his perceived struggle with whether to go to war or not - just like the book.
agree, the fake baby is just ridiculous. also too many Hollywood moments - the call from the roof, the wedding scene/call to war, etc

Cooper was good, I will agree. But this is no where near best picture worthy.
I can get behind this. It was a good movie, but not worthy of best picture. Cooper was excellent though. Maybe not enough depth displayed to be considered for best actor though.

I really knew nothing about the guy, other than recognizing his name and his role in the war. Even with my lack of info on him, it was obvious the personal side of his story was underdeveloped. The movie kind of jumps from home life scenes to war life scenes without anything bridging those gaps - and it does this many times throughout the movie.

I didn't notice the fake baby (nor did anyone in the packed theater laugh or anything) until I read all the outrage about it and looked at some youtubes. Funny.

Guys, you really should stop saying "Best Picture worthy" like quality plays any part in that equation.

It is kind of irritating. People are acting like the sniper is a new thing and it is horrible. Snipers have been around in combat almost as long as there have been guns. Probably earlier with archers, idk.

I don't understand it. Didn't we learn anything from all that "babykiller" bullshit after Vietnam?
