Few do haha. No worries. He was with the Senators when they were in DC before they moved to Texas. We then had Whitey Herzog and Billy Martin. Crazy.

It would be kind of badass if someone ends up with both Barry and Bobby Bonds or Ken Griffey and Ken Griffey JR.

Williams was an awful manager, chud, that's why you didn't know.

Oh yes. Very bad. Very few great players make great skippers. Joe Torre (lifetime 57.6 WAR, 1971 MVP, 9 All Star games,) had a really good career. Oddly enough never played a post season game as a player. I wanna say he is top 10 all time for most games played without a playoff appearance.

I am kinda making my big board here and there. This is too much fun I wonder if we all have the same first pick in mind? To me it is between two guys (a pitcher and a position player) with one having a slight edge.

I have probably 10 different guys I'd be ok taking first.

Looking at some of the players and seasons eligible and I knew Joe Morgan was a great player and all but looking through his stats and he was just a beast.

Also did not know Jose Rijo married Juan Marichal's daughter.

Yea, I saw Morgan's WAR numbers as well. I fucking hate that guy so much because of announcing, though.

Indeed but what stood out was the OBP. He led the NL in walks 4 times and had 8 seasons of 100 walks or more and an OBP of .400 or higher 9 times. Almost twice as many walks as strikeouts. Did not know he was a first ballot guy as well. Damn impressive.


Agreed I am not a fan of his announcing. If your family is also Red Sox fans which I assume they are I assume they hate him even more.

BTW numbers and chud I watched Good Will Hunting the other day and the Game 6 scene is just greatness.

I'd like to start the draft on a Monday, so let's start it on the 26th.

I have a really comprehensive list to get me through the first few rounds.

I haven't yet either, but my knowledge of this era isn't as in depth as the post strike one.

I've got some tough decisions to make with the schedule. I have a feeling it's gonna be a pain to assemble.

As long as things are well for you I couldn't care less for this. It's just a bit of light fun on the side. I hope you Don't feel obligated to captain this ship for the sake of us pal.
