I'm doing that stupid & unnecessary comparison with the Beatles.
As much as I've dug the Beatles output with Rubber Soul to Let it Be (as I've finally sat down and listened to), I would never take it over Beggars Banquet to Sticky Fingers

Yeah, I'm not sure how you could leave Exile off that list.

Bridges to Babylon brings back great memories of fall/winter of 1997. Saint of Me puts a HUGE smile on my face too. Flip the Switch as well.

I really like "Saint of Me" too; Keith's guitar solo is great.
I get the itch to listen to some Stones maybe once per year, and it happened earlier this week. I put on "High Tide and Green Grass""; about half of it totally rocked my socks off. There are times when I think "Get Off Of My Cloud" is rock and roll's definitive three minutes.

great memories for me as well, saw them twice during that tour, Bob Dylan opened for them and joined them for a killer version of Like a rolling stone, one of my favorites songs from that live album they did back in 1996 i think.
Flip the switch, Anybody seen my baby, You dont have to mean it, Too Tight, how can i stop and thief in the night are my other favorites from that album.

I saw The Stones on the Bridges tour as well, in East Rutherford. A great evening. Foo Fighters opened and sucked the bag like they always do.

I went to opening night as Soldier Field, and then a couple of months later my friends and I cut school and took a train down to St. Louis to see them at the TWA Dome. One of my favorite memories of my life, with their cover of Like a Rolling Stone that night being one of my favorite moments of my life. I saw the last night of the tour at the United Center too. Such a fun tour.

That sounds nice. In middle school & high school I only knew them by their greatest hits. It was only till later that I discovered them from album to album. That's cool though. You have some good memories.

i was 14 years old the first time i saw them. I went alone that time, and i was fucking scared. Once the show started i didnt give a fuck...They opened with satisfaction and the light setting was amazing.

The way the Bridges to Babylon tour worked in hand with No Security immediately after it was kinda perfect for me. I was just getting into them, so Bridges to Babylon being pretty heavy on the most obvious hits was definitely right up my alley at the time, and then when they were back again a year later for No Security and playing deeper cuts, it was perfect cause I'd had time to really get into them and now those were the tracks I really wanted to see them play. I always wondered how intentional this was, because I knew quite a few people who had the same experience.

I've half-heartedly thought about trying to get a ticket, it's not as though they're going to play here again, but I probably won't.
Yeah, I'm going.
It'll be a fun night, hopefully.

Have a few drinks and have a laugh. I was loaded when I saw them in 95

I picked up the let it bleed vinyl re-issue and think it sounds great. Anyone have the other reissues? (Beg Banq, Sticky, Exile)
