Joey, will you try my suggested peanut brittle recipe from that OTHER microwave thread. I don't think anyone ever did over there and that's just wasted opportunity on their part

Every other year or so I give it as gifts at the holidays. Get some metal tins from Dollar Tree and set up an assembly line, 5 or 6 batches back to back. Bust it up, fill the tins... I usually don't mention it's microwaved and people go all crazy over it

You will never go back Trag... Best. Brittle. Ever.
But trust me- the reaction with the adding of the baking soda is not to be taken lightly... Speed here is key or your batch is screwed

I was listening to jrp and neil degrass tyson was on saying how microwaves jus vibrate the water in your food real fast and the friction heates up your food. I been always thinkin microwaves had some kinda harm to offer but guess not! ppl even say not to microwave baby bottle milk but apparently i learned that 's only because of hot spots in the milk which could scold poor poor baby mouth. microwave aint so bad guys . also it explains why some things heat well and others not at all cause it's just water vibrating and somethings don't have water if any
