that outro solo is one of mike's finest moments. But I love just about everything about that song

I used to think "Dissident" was one of the weaker points on Vs., but now I love it.

When I first got into Pearl Jam in 2003 (13 at the time) I didn't get a lot of their stuff. Most of their later albums seemed kind of weird to me. Two songs I now love that needed to grow on me for a long time are Help Help and In The Moonlight, though my love for those also happened a long time ago. My taste in Pearl Jam songs doesn't really change that much anymore. Sirens was a shock at first and I like it now.

I still don't get "In the Moonlight". Why does everyone love it so much?

I would add that Riot Act, more than any of the other records, really benefited from seeing the tracks live. I think because the album's production is so stripped down, I initially mistook the record as somewhat lazy. I remember the moment when half full kicked my ass for the very first time. the CD was blasting when I was driving during a downpour and 1/2 full came on. I thought to myself "holy fuc k. this song is set on fire"

I like the officially released version from Lost Dogs well enough, but I think I'm even more fond of the Demo. It's played just a tad slower, Mike plays more subtle and prettier, and Ed doesn't sound like he has his lips smushed against the mic.

I didn't at first, but then I heard a real nice live version....can't find a link, but maybe someone has it. It was A+ sound quality. Sometimes a live version will help me like a song more.

Also, hated Speed of Sound, but now like it. I don't know why. Maybe it's because I play my favorite tunes to death and when I rediscover something I don't play often it gets artificially inflated like any new Pearl Jam. Or, maybe it's a good tune. Regardless, it was a nice surprise when it appeared on shuffle today on way into work.

"A night bird is following you all the time" is one of my favorite images in the PJ canon.

One of my all-time favorite songs. The live version with Josh Homme is perfect.

If you're referring to the album version, then no, that's not the case.

I didn't like this song until I heard the Ed acoustic version. That is pretty sweet.
