Humanz was a big letdown after Plastic Beach. I think this will rank somewhere between those.

I dig that new song. I'll always listen to these guys, but man that animation thing is getting old. But I guess after a certain number of years, you just gotta stick with it. See: Iron Maiden

Yeah, this new first single is so understated. It's a good sign for the album. I like the lake song too.

Anyone heard the new one yet? I think it’s leaked. But comes out tomorrow so I don’t care to track it down.

Magic City and One Percent are pretty unremarkable, bu Fire Flies and, specially, Souk Eye are amazing.
Souk Eye might be a top 5 Gorillaz song

I listened to this and it did nothing for me. So I started with their first album and went through and realized that they lost me around Demon Days. Plastic Beach had a couple songs on it that I liked and I didn't even know about The Fall until Humanz came out. Humanz was too...I don't even know what to describe it as.
This is a bummer for me because I played the shit out of the first album and G-Sides.
So it’s really important that if you want to see Gorillaz, this might be one of the last times people get to see them for a long time. If they don’t see these gigs coming up, they may never get the chance.
:/

I haven't listened to the full album yet but I really like the singles they released. "Silent Running" has such a chill melancholy vibe, I love it. "Baby Queen" too. "Cracker Island" is fun to to listen to because of Thundercat's playing but it's kind of repetitive.
