I watched Transparent season 1 this year. Does that count?
no
One of my biggest complaints about cord cutting and the rise of television consumption via streaming is how hard it is to discuss shows with people. Everyone is at different points.
yea im not even sure what shows came out this year.
if only there was some way you could look that up.
If it ain't star wars, I ain't clicking a damn thing

You know he really only worked on the pilot, right?
Yes. Co-creator, right?
He's credited, but his involvement in all artistic aspects of the show ended after his work on the Pilot. I mean the guy who said to JJ, "I want to do castaway the series" also gets a co-creator credit, if that gives you any frame of reference.
I'm certainly not saying you have to like the show or JJ Abrams, for that matter. But don't hate him BECAUSE of LOST.

Which makes the fact that Damon and Carlton felt the need to stick to JJ's original idea for the ending--- even though he hadn't been involved for years and the show had gone places he'd never anticipated--- all the more painful.
I was so disappointed the first time I watched it, less so the second. I still think it's something of a betrayal of the show and a waste of half a season, but it does work emotionally. Which is what LOST was really about anyway.

I'm not sure what you're getting at with that first sentence. But I 100% agree with your closing.

I've never seen anything that indicates that JJ had an idea for the end of the show, let a lone that Damon & Carlton used his idea. I have seen a lot of talk that points toward that being inaccurate, however. In fact, it's pretty widely regarded that a lot of what ended up in Fringe was originally in JJ's Bible for LOST (not the ending, however).
If you have any links or articles or interviews you can point me toward in support of what you're saying, I'd love to see/read them. I'm more of a LOST nerd than anything else (Star Wars, Trek, comics, etc). So, I'd like my knowledge of the show to be accurate.
