I've read that is that in Everything Eventual? That's probably why I got it. I was obsessed for a while there. I was going back and forth between Dark Tower and Fire and Ice it was a magical time.

Yeah, that's in EE.
I have it, too, but that's the only story I've read from that collection. It's actually my wife's copy. And I only picked it up to read the Dark Tower story.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

It's all speculation at this point. But King has confirmed that it doesn't necessarily start with the story in The Gunslinger. He said it's starts in the middle. Should be interesting.
I hope they update the time frame for Jake. But not for Susannah. She needs to stay in the 50s/60s.

Does the middle mean Wastelands?

That's kinda what people seem to be speculating. But King was intentionally unclear about it. He did say that fans would be upset at first when they learned that it wasn't starting where it starts in the books and that so much has been changed. But he added that once fans saw that the story was still the same story they would quickly get over it.
