Mural Amphitheater in the early '90s is one thing.Coach wrote:Pearl Jam better in daylight.Birds in Hell wrote:Arms Aloft:

Maybe they can rotate other famous drummers through for the rest of the tour. Phil Collins must be around somewhere.Birds in Hell wrote:re: Chad Smith - it's probably not ideal that when you hear another drummer jump onstage for an impromptu performance that you actually think "oh yeah, that's the stuff", as though this guy gets the feel right without even trying. That said, no knock on Matt etc.

This is a different thing.
This holds true on the boot too.Birds in Hell wrote:re: Chad Smith - it's probably not ideal that when you hear another drummer jump onstage for an impromptu performance that you actually think "oh yeah, that's the stuff", as though this guy gets the feel right without even trying.

For six and a half minutes, that was Pearl Jam up there, not whatever else has masqueraded as Pearl Jam for the last 15 years or so.
it also helps that Matt plays it on guitar better than the others. more like the way Neil plays it.Birds in Hell wrote:This holds true on the boot too.Birds in Hell wrote:re: Chad Smith - it's probably not ideal that when you hear another drummer jump onstage for an impromptu performance that you actually think "oh yeah, that's the stuff", as though this guy gets the feel right without even trying.
