i'm not uncomfortable with that claim. but he's still a talented dude that's made good things. put another way, no one sees deakins and thinks "LIABILITY"

Yeah, that's true. In any case, I agree with you that this looks bad. The trailer made it look like a dull police mystery/procedural wrapped in second-rate Scott knockoff visuals that have no soul or feeling.

i have mix feelings...i want to love it, but there is an overall feeling about the trailer that left me kinda cold.

I saw the first one last saturday so im exited about the sequel...The new trailer looks awesome by the way.

If you're not a Villeneuve fan, this movie probably won't change your mind, but I think he's a good fit for this movie.
