Try putting a lemon or two in that one if you want to still keep it mostly veg. It makes it taste better.

Bee Girl wrote:Well, maybe ALL is an overstatement, but yes, that pulpy stuff leftover is the fiber. I can drink lots of juice and get the nutrients from it but still be hungry because I need the bulk from the fiber to feel satisfied.

I can buy a pint of carrot juice for $3 but it's $5 for 2 lbs of carrots and a lot more work to get the same end result, so I just buy it when I want some. And I eat carrots when I am hungry.
I've started using the pulp in a bolognese or shepherds pie. There's a muffin recipe with pulp that I haven't tried yet. Guess you could also use it in meatballs.

Hello fellow juicer bros!

I recently came into possession of a fine juicer myself and have enjoyed the journey thus far!

Can anyone think of a good kale substitute for green juices? I'm having a hard time finding any in Buenos Aires.

I've been juicing fresh ruby reds lately from a neighbor's yard, but I'll use a tangelo to cut through the bitterness just a little. I like tangelos because they add just a little bit of that citrus sweetness while still keeping that dry edge. Very good for blending with grapefruit.
