You have to wonder if there's some kind of cognitive issue at play with Perry, he really didn't look well when it was all going down.

I recently listened again to Desconstruction, Dave and Eric A´s album that was released around 1994 with the first JA´s breakup.
At the time, i kinda hated it, specially because Eric´s vocals arent good and then Perry and Stephen released Porno For Pyros, but now i can really appreciate how good the music is, specially Dave´s work. Its very fucking good and it would have been an amazing album with Janes.
The album is on streaming platforms now and Spin did a very cool piece on it.

Been into these dudes last year and the other music they made, and this time i focused on Dave Navarro, probably one of my top ten favorite guitar players from the 90s.
One Hot Minute might be my fav work from him, along with Ritual....and at the time, i wasnt interested on his solo album...not sure why, but i kinda hated the idea of Dave making music that was near the industrial sound of the 00´s but i came back to the album with an open mind and dude, i enjoyed it a lot.
Yes, its a mix between the hard rock of the 00s and Janes, but still has many great moments from Dave, both electric and acoustic. Matt Chamberlain´s drumas are pretty awesome too. Very tight and loose at the same time.

This is one 90s band I wasn’t really into for the longest time but their music has really grown on me over time. The first two albums are great.

I remember something about it, i think Chad Smith played on that? Kiedis talks about it in his book, were he felt very jealous with Dave and Chad working together and Flea playing bass for Janes.
I also think this album has some b sides i havent checked out yet.

Listening to Avery´s Life.Time, a self released album that he put out in 2012.
Very weird and experimental, full of keyboards and electronic stuff. There are some good passages here and you can see his talent and what he brought to Janes, those melodic and very dark bridges and instrumentals.
I prefer Deconstruction but this one was a good listen for what it was.

Having seen their Paris show, i can tell they were having a great time in that leg of the tour. The show was incredible too. Which makes Perry´s fallout more sad too i guess.
Anyway, i hope Dave, Eric and Stephen can play together and make music.

Blasting ¨Nothing Shocking¨ right now...Dave Jerden did such a great job with this. And the band sure knew how to translate this vibe into the live show as well.

Listening Nothing´s Shocking right now.
I love this album so much, and it kinda feels eclipsed with Ritual, but its such a weird amalgamation of what the 90s were about to be.
Eric A and Navarro are doing so many different and cool stuff.
I saw the band is doing music together sans Perry, im very interested on the outcome.
