This is going to drive me nuts.tragabigzanda wrote:Don't know it, would love to see it.Birds in Hell wrote:Does anyone remember that brief clip of Stone that seemed to have been filmed during the recording of S/T where he was clearly, obviously incredibly baked?
I can't remember how/when/why that surfaced but it seems to have disappeared into the aether.
"Future Days" actually doesn't sound as bad as I remembered. I mean, I pretty much remembered it as the total nadir of all recorded sound, so it really had nowhere to go but up, but hey -- progress is progress.Kevin Davis wrote:Listening now -- the chorus to "LTRP" really does sound like that Shania Twain song, kind of a cross between that and "Jeepers Creepers."
I think I like this less than "Future Days."
Was it the video promo for the record?Birds in Hell wrote:This is going to drive me nuts.tragabigzanda wrote:Don't know it, would love to see it.Birds in Hell wrote:Does anyone remember that brief clip of Stone that seemed to have been filmed during the recording of S/T where he was clearly, obviously incredibly baked?

My (admittedly somewhat unreliable) recollection is that it's only a few seconds long and involves Stone commenting in a stoned drawl that something is "so...fucking...funny".
I don't think so, I believe it was something that leaked out a while after the album's release - it wasn't any kind of officially-sanctioned footage.evenslow wrote:Was it the video promo for the record?Birds in Hell wrote:This is going to drive me nuts.tragabigzanda wrote:Don't know it, would love to see it.Birds in Hell wrote:Does anyone remember that brief clip of Stone that seemed to have been filmed during the recording of S/T where he was clearly, obviously incredibly baked?

I'm delving into the archived board to try and find some reference to this, only to find a post from me from five years ago in which I bemoan being unable to find it.evenslow wrote:Alright, now you're driving me crazy.Birds in Hell wrote:I don't think so, I believe it was something that leaked out a while after the album's release - it wasn't any kind of officially-sanctioned footage.evenslow wrote:Was it the video promo for the record?Birds in Hell wrote:This is going to drive me nuts.tragabigzanda wrote:Don't know it, would love to see it.Birds in Hell wrote:Does anyone remember that brief clip of Stone that seemed to have been filmed during the recording of S/T where he was clearly, obviously incredibly baked?

According to one of the interviews I read after the LB release, even Stone was shocked that song made the record. The way he said it seemed like he had no idea what songs were on the record until after it was releasedLoathedVermin72 wrote:giving more control to the guy who wrote ltrp can only have a negative effect
I always thought it was a riff he was just warming up with and it became a song. He was surprised that BOb jumped on it and sort of blagged it.bodysnatcher wrote:According to one of the interviews I read after the LB release, even Stone was shocked that song made the record. Yeah that's what he said about the opening riff. The rest of the song, not so sure.LetMeSleep wrote:I always thought it was a riff he was just warming up with and it became a song. I have nothing to back this up.
