I think it's got loads of potential. Enjoyed these two episodes.

Glad this is finally here. Hope it hasn't completely forgotten about the stuff that happened in Enterprise. Of course this show will have to focus on its own story, but Trek is better when the continuity makes sense.

This takes place 10 years before ToS. Does this take place before or after Entetprise?
I liked how the houses had different heads and ridges. Maybe they'll explain the ToS Klingon appearance.
There was a bottle of wine in the Captains quarters from Picard's family vineyard.

I chalked it up to the writing, not the acting.

I thought the Klingon stuff was really hammy and over the top but I guess they have to be.

Once I got over how the Klingons were presented, I thought the first 2 eps of this show were great.

Enterprise took place between 2151-2161. Discovery starts in 2255. The original series (with Kirk) took place between 2265-2269. TOS movies 2273-2293. TNG 2364-2370. DS9 2369-2375. Voyager 2371-2378. TNG movies until 2379 (with time travel to 1984, 2150, 2293 and various events between 2370-2379).

I think they scrapped the idea that this is in the good universe. It's not even the JJ Abrams shit universe. It's some new horror.

Let me guess, she looks like she's just about to cry in EVERY scene.
