I have several McCready autographs I'd be willing to part with.

For the right price.

No one's interested in your fan porn drawings, Bammer.

It's about a lot more than the book. This is a great interview! Everything from Mike in Cub Scouts on.
This special episode of Art Zone features Mike McCready in conversation with host Nancy Guppy from her living room. Mike knew at an early age he wanted to be a rock star. He almost gave up that dream shortly before becoming lead guitarist of Pearl Jam, the Seattle grunge-era band which skyrocketed to international fame in the early '90s and is a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 2017 inductee. When he's not performing with Pearl Jam, Mike runs his record label HockeyTalkter Records; performs with his cover band Flight to Mars; and works to bring awareness to Crohn's disease, which he's lived with for decades. Also, Mike's book "Of Potato Heads and Polaroids: My Life Inside and Out of Pearl Jam" is slated for a May release.

It's really a fantastic interview.

Mostly stuff we know already but I've officially decided I want Mike McCready to be my best friend.

Got this today from Amazon. It's a little more banged up than I would have liked. It's The cover's not made to take a lot of hits and there's no dust cover.

Regardless, it's going to be fun to browse through this. At least one Cornell pic so far, probably more.

This book misses some opportunities to be cooler than it is.

- Pages 44-45 include polaroids of Jack Word, Angie Redman, Rena O'Brien, Mary, Carla Wilcox, Erika Word, Erika Locatelli, Kaelyn, Chris, Glenna Wiley, and Julie Andres. I don't know who one, god damned person on that two-page spread is. How about a little bit of context? How about a date? A location? Anything?
- Even the crowd shots have no information. What show were these taken at? C'mon, McCready, throw us a bone. The whole book has about 300 words in it. You could have at least put decent captions on things.
- There are a couple of polaroids of people coming in for interviews with Mike for SiriusXM or Deep. Why not have someone drop in some tidbits from those interviews? Or again ... when they fucking happened?

This book doesn't satisfy any of my itches for more info about Pearl Jam, their friends, their influences, or Mike McCready's "life outside of Pearl Jam." It just leaves me with a bunch of questions.
