Also, I think it's best to start at the beginning with Kael: I Lost It at the Movies.

Thank you. I've added it to my list. I've been wanting some good nonfiction.

Its such a complex love story. I love it.

That kind of filmmaker...not him specially. And him going back to tv doesnt really count because he did tv when it wasnt ¨the thing to do¨.

I know you hate that and I agree that comedy can be and satire maybe should strive for more. Yeah, I get it. But sometimes people just want to laugh and nod. And that's why The Daily Show exists. And that's okay.
Im not sure they see themselves as that. I have the idea they really think they are taking a chance with what they do. Is weird...at this point those shows seem so formulaic to me, so shallow. Its a Rolling Stone cover.

I can't speak for the current staff but Jon Stewart said over and over again that they were just a dopey comedy show and not a political news show and not out to do anything but make people laugh. Perhaps that's changed with the new regime but I doubt it.

I was never a big Colbert Report fan. I've watched a few segments of TDS since Trevor Noah took over. I like him, he's charming but he lacks the authority and command that Stewart had.

Samantha Bee is great. I really enjoy Full Frontal. But that's about it really.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I loved Samantha Bee on the Daily Show but she seems to try too hard to sell the joke on TBS. I find it annoying. I liked John Stewart and about half of what John Oliver does. I leave the rest.

I do like John Oliver, too. Again, I don't watch any of them religiously. I watched Stewart the most when he was on. And Samatha Bee second most.
