I know my life can get crazy unexpectedly and I'd hate to hold things up if it's my turn to pick and I'm not going to have time to watch the movie and discuss it or whatever.

But, yeah, I love this idea, so I'm in.
So just pick a movie you've already seen that you want others to see, that way after the two weeks viewing period, you can still discuss it. That is what I'm doing.

Do we keep this confined to one thread? Or do we start a new thread for every movie?

I vote new thread for each movie, or if the movie already has a thread we could discuss it there?

I think the idea isn't to wait two weeks to discuss each movie--rather, it's to have two weeks for watching and discussion (figuring everyone can watch in first 4-5 days, then 9-10 days for discussion). If you can't watch right away, you can just chime in whenever you do.

Exactly. And it gets even easier if we make a new thread for each movie-- people can bump it and chime in whenever. My only concern is cluttering up A&E

Is it possible to clutter a dying board?

I think I'd be more inclined to choose an offbeat movie that I've seen before and loved. I wouldn't want to pick a movie that turns out to be crappy and anger/bore the rest of the club.
(Not that everyone should do that---it's just my inclination.

If people are ok with the bullshit that is going on in OB right now, then I think they'll be fine with a few serious threads being added to A&E. If not, I'll ban them.
