Yea i think this is their weakest lineup so far but ive heard nothing but incredible things about the festival. Super different vibe. I may still go.

Chance, Danny Brown, Feist, Julieta Venegas, Perfume Genius... I'd go to that

Does it upset you that he outshines Kanye every time they're on a track together?

Really I think I just lost all respect for him when he ranked College Dropout and Late Registration as the best Kanye albums

looking at it objectively, the lineup is a little underwhelming. kinda top-heavy this year, with a lot of super mellow, "final project in music school" stuff rounding out the bottom.

but they do such a good job making the grounds and overall presentation feel unique, i have no doubt it's gonna be a good time.

i mean, wilco, john prine and paul simon are playing 10 minutes from my house. can't complain.

Just got tix for Billy Bragg solo in April. Happy about that as I had to get rid of my tickets last time he was in town.

What have they done together besides "Ultralight Beam?"

yes. I have custom made moulded to my ear canal to dampen by 15db. Essential when playing drums and essential to work in audio.

I never have. My buddy (that I go to almost all shows with) always does.

I know I should but I've hated it every time I've tried.

You do get used to it. Now it feels worse not wearing them. They are of course bloody expensive good plugs, not the squishy pharmacy ones.

I have a few pairs of Etymotics and really struggle to enjoy shows with them.

There's always a bit of top end loss that I can't get past, particularly on guitars.

Yes, this is exactly my problem.

I also deeply resent the idea that you should need to wear hearing protection to enjoy what's meant to be an aural experience.

I'd rather stay home than feel as though I need earplugs.
