Wrong. Only in that it is their best song. Period.

This sounds about right. I might put it 3rd or 5th too though. Not sure. Somewhere in there.
1. Go
2. Brain of J.
3. Hail, Hail
4. Sleight of Hand
Respectable and hard to be angry at that fine list right there. I think I'd have to go with something like...
1. In My Tree
2. Tremor Christ
3. Black
4. Sleight of Hand
Something like that. But In the Moonlight, No Way, Help Help, Do the Evolution and Hard to Imagine would all be up there too. I also struggle with Black. Like, do I have it so high because it's really that good? Or is it just pure nostalgia? I think I just really love that song, no matter how overwrought it feels know that I'm not 13. Annie Clark's cover is outstanding. So... I feel like I really love it. But maybe I just love it the way a 13 year old loves things. Who can say? Anyway...
What is this Annie Clarke cover of which you speak? Can you link me to your favorite version?

My top three:
1. Sleight of Hand
2. Release
3. Immortality
I'm not positive what I'd put next but these would be in the running: Jeremy, I Got Shit, Leash, Corduroy, Faithfull, Animal.

Goddamnit! Release and Immortality! BAAAAAAAAAAAAH!
Guys, I can't do this. In My Tree is my favorite. Everything else is tied for second.

I've only seen one video of it. It's from the Portlandia Tour. Live version. She starts playing the song like 2:50 into the clip. The quality isn't stellar.

SOH. Parting Ways was an early favorite of mine, as was GD, but SOH took a few years / album revisits to fully appreciate. I really do love all three of these songs though.

Does she always sing like this?

Gods' Dice used to be my least favorite Pearl Jam song. Now I really like it. It's still not top tier Binaural for me but I appreciate and enjoy the song quite a bit.
Parting Ways is a song I can appreciate but I'm not sure that I really like all that much. Sometimes it really clicks and then other times its just sort of a pretty noise. I like things about it but it never quite lives up for me.
Sleight of Hand is a masterpiece.

I just like how slow and deliberate the vocal is. There's so much less emotion in her voice than Ed's and yet the lyrics still have tremendous meaning, he emotion still comes through. Really though it's all about the guitar work in that version, for me. I could listen to/watch her play that fucking thing all goddamn night.

Switched to Parting Ways after listening to both.

I really respect Annie Clark as a musician and songwriter. Generally I think she's pretty great, but I didn't like this one bit. I couldn't even finish the song.

I tried some of her original songs after this and didn't like them at all.

I think Parting ways is very close to being my favorite thing the band has done.
I wont be mad when it loses to Sleight of hand, because its fantastic too, but I love Parting Ways so much.

How can you love Parting Ways but think All or None is boring?
