Red wine, though, gives me bad hangovers. Lots of sugar and I tend to drink a lot of it - much more than beer or hard booze. Maybe just a handful of times per year anymore.

110 heat index today. Call me basic but this is what a chilled glass of pinot noir rosé was made for. Fruity but also dry.

Kind of put off by the green bellpepper notes I'm getting from this bottle of Casa Silva carmanere I opened yesterday, but I also keep coming back to it. A little like when I first got into Tom Waits, actually.
Drinking wine is fun as hell.

I feel like dying on the screw top=cork hill tonight. Be real... you're not buying wine to age it. Makes no difference how you cap it if it's going in your glass regularly.
My general MO: if you're going to charge me restaurant pricing for a bottle, you might as well gimme a cork for the spectacle of the damn thing. I'll take a screw top at home for convenience nine times out of ten, though.
