So awesome. How can this not be a good thing in your life? So ridiculous, juvenile, emotional and .....perfect.
Assuming you're serious I'm going to completely agree. We get so caught up in our daily lives...jobs, bills, taxes, traffic...etc...that times like this really allow me to remember parts of me that get lost in the shuffle. The craziness and emotional rollercoaster of something that IS so juvenile and just bizarre. I'm 34 years old and these last few days have made me feel at least ten years younger in that I've been excited and passionate about this band again and other things that I haven't thought about in so long. All the excitement has awakened something in me and apparently many of us here. We have been frustrated, excited, pissed off, giddy, anxious and emotional. I love this band and this community of people. So many memories of this place from years past and all of you are awesome in you're own ways. Thanks for the last few days. Its been awesome.
no, im dead serious. That is the essence of Strat. Allow us something in our lives to be copletley ridiculous and emotional and in love over. Why not? life sucks and then you die. The more joy we let into our lives the better the world will be. Music is one of those things and Pearl Jam is the heroin of it all for me.

I generally don't care for how CIA they can be about pj matters but when it comes to unreleased copyrighted music good on them. I'm impressed
I have a strange fear the album as a whole is going to leak two months early though
Prove me wrong pj. Prove me wrong!

Waiting till October is ridiculous, so when it's out it's out, as far as I'm concerned.

I'm thinking some station overseas is going to spin this on an am show and we will also have mym before the countdown officially ends but that is yet to be seen

I hope it doesn't leak. I haven't gotten a pearl jam album on release day without already having heard it since yield. Would be awesome not hearing till I buy it at the store. I'm not strong enough to resist a leak though.

I hope so. I have a pretty good feeling about it.

That'd be pretty cool. Considering how insane it's gotten each afternoon this week, it probably will end up leaking while most regulars have given up and checked out for the night.

I'm weirdly excited about the accompanying tracklist (assuming we're getting it). I'm hoping we get more of an idea of the album by having MYM and some more song names. And we'll finally find out if there's a uke song on there.

But...if it didn't leak and they ran a good 2-3 month promo push would you enjoy it or get burnt out. I don't know myself
I'd love if we got an epk or something tomorrow but I don't want to bust my nut so soon. Likely we don't do this again for many years

Getting the tracklisting will be great if for no other reason than not having to read fake ones floating around anymore.

If it's one of the best ones (like Sleeping By Myself) it'll be fine, imo. If they adapt it well it'll be more than fine.

I'm not sure if we're disagreeing. My point being that I'm not waiting till October if I can possibly help it.

Does anyone remember the promo adverts from the Yield era? It was just a car driving along a desolate road with Given To Fly play for part of it. I liked it, it was understated and simple, yet had depth and soul.

I remember seeing that vaguely, yeah. There's no way we're getting a new album promo this early though.

Like the artwork today. Has a No Country for Old Men feel to it.
"Table manners play an important part in making a favorable impression. They are visible signals of the state of our manners and therefore are essential to professional success. The point of etiquette rules is to make you feel comfortable - not uncomfortable."
"Modern (North American) etiquette provides the smallest numbers and types of utensils necessary for dining. Only utensils which are to be used for the planned meal should be set. Even if needed, hosts should not have more than three utensils on either side of the plate before a meal. If extra utensils are needed, they may be brought to the table along with later courses."
"The meal begins when the host or hostess unfolds his or her napkin. This is your signal to do the same. Place your napkin on your lap, completely unfolded if it is a small luncheon napkin or in half, lengthwise, if it is a large dinner napkin. Do not shake it open."
"Guests should do their best to mingle and make light conversation with everyone. Do not talk excessively loud. Give others equal opportunities for conversation. Talk about cheerful, pleasant things at the table."

Found it:
The quality is bad, but you get the idea. Unfortunately, I think it was better in my memory.
