Those fuckers look cool.

My favorite moment is in Kalopsia when Trent enters for the first time. AMAZING.

Any thoughts on Mini Mansions? I am thinking of picking up their album on Amazon, is it any good?

G dangit this is a great album. The only songs im not totally hot on are Keep Your Eyes peeled, Kalopsia and fairweather friends - and those are great songs that seem to have gotten better after more listens.

Title Track is a ridiculously great closer.

God! So good! I've been thinking all week this is the most perfect album opener. Dirty, nasty, perfect album opening track. You know you got a great album (usually) when the opening track is this good!

Yeah I was a coward. I couldn't delete this from my computer to wait for the pristine version in a couple weeks. Because I couldn't live without it. :-|

Just bein' honest...

Great album and all.

Been living with this album for week now and though too early to say how it ranks among the back catalogue, it's definitely their most cohesive - impeccably sequenced and not a track under 3 stars.

I Appear Missing is probably the pick 'o the litter - can't remember the last time I was so immediately and intensely smitten with a song, and that was just from the 3 minute teaser. The song just goes into the stratosphere from there - love the musical alliteration on the 'dancing on wires...' bit and the guitar solo/outro.

I'm surprised Fairweather Friends has taken a while to warm for some, I love it - reminds me a bit of Faith No More for some reason .

Agree with all the love for Smooth Sailing, it's the song they've been threatening to make since 'Skin on Skin'.

The only one that didn't grab me right away was 'My God Is The Sun', but the penny dropped after seeing the Jools performance (whole 3 song performance/interview up on dime in 1080 HD btw :nice: )

Looking forward to seeing the rest of the album live on the LA webcast in under 24 hours time :bammer:
(Though I suspect I might be disappointed with how 'I Appear Missing' holds up)

I can't think of a rock album from the past few years that I like more than this. Seriously nothing is coming to mind.

I'm addicted to the title song...
"Because not everything that goes around, comes back around, you know" is a beautifull line...

Since I'm a character designer/animator/game designer, I'm thinkng about making a review of the videos, trying to study the characters and the story behind it... Anyone would like to see that?

Sure. I haven't sat down to watch the entire thing yet, but what I have seen looks awesome.

And, yeah, I Appear Missing into ...Like Clockwork is just jaw dropping. The whole record is just a fantastic listen.

The masked animator known as 'Boneface' was on Jools Holland with the band during 'If I Had A Tail'
