If it works for you, then there's nothing wrong, and it doesn't look like it'll harm the record.
The general thinking with RCMs is that you need to vacuum the dirt out of the grooves, and that washing/brushing isn't enough. it's probably only an issue with really dirty 2nd hand records however.

I just purchased Tool's Undertow yesterday. I thought I didn't really care too much for this album (compared with their other output), hence why I'd never owned a physical copy of it up till now - but after a few spins - I'm really digging it

Bought a couple of records this weekend:

White Stripes - White Blood Cells
Elvis Costello - This Year's Model
Rolling stones - Voodoo Lounge


Blunderbuss sounds great on vinyl. Anyone know if that was an analog master?

Picked up Micheal Jackson's Thriller, and managed to score a copy of Like Clockwork

picked up another copy of my favorite pryor record.

Got these beautiful 45 "adapters from our fellows Sub Pop records and another goodies as well ( including a really cool digital compilation called The Silver Jacket with music from Mudhoney, No Age, Metz and The postal service among others).

And I finally snagged a long sought after copy of ACDC's Powerage. Also I found an original off Come's Eleven:Eleven. Chud you might like them, Massachuchetts punk rock royalty. Imagine a respectable Hole.

Nice, mine sounds amazing. I ve never listened to the remastered version though.

I've got both. Original Vitalogy pressing is much better than remastered Vitalogy.

Did anyone here pick up the new QOTSA record? Any comments on the sound quality?
I've heard bad things about some of their pressings (Rated R reissue specifically) so I'm hesitant to pick-up Like Clockwork.

Im planning on getting the last album. The booklet looks awesome and its just so poor on the cd edition.

You could probably get it for cheaper now that the reissues have flooded the market.

I'm the wrong guy to ask....In my lifetime I've own 3 original LPs, 2 original CD, 1 standard reissue LP, 1 super deluxe reissued LP, 1 remastered deluxe CD and a Vitalogy Remaster Radio Sampler CD. So that's like over $400 worth of Vitalogy. However if I had to own 1, it would be the original pressing on vinyl.

I picked up Like Clockwork last week, and honestly I think the vinyl sounds great. To be fair though I haven't listened to this on any other format
