So bummed I missed out on a chance to see R.E.M. at Red Rocks in 2008. I had tickets and the dude I was going to go with backed out. Could not find anyone to go with me so I sold them (face value of course) and missed out. Figured I'd catch them next tour and then they break up. Ughh! The National (8 fucking songs from Boxer!!) and Modest Mouse opened too. Fuck me. :shake:

Please tour again someday. :?

WHAT'S IN THE BOX?!?!

http://uproxx.com/movies/2015/02/how-ke ... -musician/
REM frontman Michael Stipe turned down the chance to become an actor, by refusing a lead role in 1995 David Fincher movie Se7en. Stipe reveals, “I have been close to appearing in a number of films. I was offered the part of the serial killer in Se7en. The problem was, after I agreed, the record label wanted the band to tour and there was no way I could do both. I have to give up the part and they gave it to Kevin.”

local record store guy told me 'automatic for the people' is getting vinyl reissue. soundstage has them available already. http://www.soundstagedirect.com/rem-aut ... l-lp.shtml

hopefully this pressing doesn't have warble on nightswimming like the late 00's one did.

unless they remaster them i wouldn't buy them since i already have them, but yeah, glad to see AFTP is getting reissued because of the Nightswimming thing.

as far as i can tell it was only on the late 00s reissue that this happened. if you have an original, it shouldn't have that defect.

That's great news. Mine has the Nightswimming warble too.
Meanwhile, is it me or have they skipped over the the Out of Time reissue?
