Just poking fun back... diff'rent strokes for diff'rent folks.
I'm not really a Foo fan.

But PJ Harvey, Nirvana, and Fleetwood Mac? That wouldn't be far off from my dream concert.

I'm on board with this.

Still 2 teams without drummers. I wonder who Stip will choose.

Probably one of the exploding ones from Spinal Tap.

And just keep in mind, when PJ Harvey was Annie Clark's age, she already had Dry, Rid of Me, To Bring You My Love, Dance Hall at Louse Point, Is This Desire, Stories from the City, Stories from the Sea, and her collaborations with Nick Cave and Tricky under her belt. She'd won Best New Artist (1992), Best Songwriter (1992), Artist of the Year (1995), Album of the Year (1995) from Rolling Stone, made what Spin eventually ranked the #3 album of the 90s, what NME ranked as the #6 album of the 00s, won the Pazz & Jop Album of the Year poll (1995), won her first Mercury Prize, and been named Q's #1 female artist of all-time.

I'm not saying Annie Clark can't get there someday, but she's got to pick up the pace if she's going to. And even if she does, with the trajectory PJ is still on, it might not even matter.

I've had a difficult time deciding on these last few pieces, because I'm cautious to fuck with the core of my group too much, but I reeeaaalllyy believe I'm over-thinking this decision. I'd be an idiot to pass this guy up at this point...

THE OX.

What a fucking great pick. He was another one of the bassists I was listening to on my run before my last pick. The run in The Real Me had me so close to going with him.

Another thing I love about this thread, is it will surely lead to me listening to more great new music. :)

Not that I'm worried...but I really hope Varis doesn't take my next pick.

Varis mentioned in a different thread that he'd been rediscovering a lot of the deeper cuts from the Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch album today, so he very well may take the guy you have in mind...
