Paraguay had this entire section that year that was filled with smokeshows with huge knockers.

Ghana doesn't get enough credit for the things they've done the last 8 years.

I love how they bring Landon Donovan on before the games to criticize everything Klinsmann does.

Great game! They just keep coming. Impressed with the US team, not so much by Portugal.
Tough to see the US getting a result against Germany, but set up for a great showdown.

Re: The Beautiful Game (The All Inclusive Soccer Thread)
The odds are still firmly in the USA's favor as far as advancing goes but Ghana has a chance....I wouldn't be surprised to see Ronaldo pull out of the tournament. He's obviously not 100 percent and his team knows they are done with their shitty goal differential.chewm wrote:germany and ghana are gonna make it.

Re: The Beautiful Game (The All Inclusive Soccer Thread)
So in futbol do they not do the equivalent of a prevent defense as in American football? How in the world do players get behind the defense like that? I'm obviously oversimplifying and completely ignorant, but that seemed way too easy. What am I missing?

Re: The Beautiful Game (The All Inclusive Soccer Thread)
The US was in the equivalent of a prevent defense, with 5 on the back line(6 if you count Yeldin.) You can't just have the entire team sit on the goal line, if you did that the other team could never be offside.
