He hadn't been doing that very well all afternoon; Foles has been getting clobbered.

Brian Hartline is an early contender for celebration of the season.

lol. That's great. Surprised he wasn't fined by the No Fun League, esp since the ref was right there, walking in checking it out.

Someone told me an interesting thought this morning in conveying condolences for yesterday (though I didn't need to be condoled that much):

If you told people on February 1, 2014 that the scores of the two upcoming Broncos/Seahawks matches would have been 26-20 Seahawks in OT and 43-8 Seahawks, not only would 99.9% of people have matched the score to the game incorrectly, but a lot would have also thought that Peyton Manning would have retired at the end of last season.

Loved it, but it clearly broke the "no organized celebration rule" that the NFL has, so yeah, the penalty, plus the fine are in line, but "two pts" for originality.

This is a big pet peeve of mine...

Why do announcers always say "their fans travel well" when there are a lot of fans of the visiting team in the stands? Are they under the impression that fans of teams only reside in the city that the team calls home?

For example, last night's Steelers/Panthers game, Al Michaels said "lots of Steelers fans here, they always travel well". Hey Al, there are Steelers fans all over the country. I guarantee at least 90% of the Steeler fans there weren't current Pittsburgh residents. When I lived in San Jose, there was a pizza place that had a room reserved for Steelers games on Sunday because so many of them showed up.

I was watching a Packers/Titans game in Nashville a few years ago and the announcer said "lots of Packer fans made trek down from Green Bay". Same deal as Steelers fans - they're all over the place.
