Was anyone else mildly disappointed when Maddox started making videos? Suddenly this larger-than-life, vitriolic entity was revealed as a balding little dude with a whiny voice. It's like a modern-day Buster Keaton.

Some of his videos aren't that great but I could care less about his physical appearance.

I think you have to be something more than just vitriolic and on the internet to be anything near a description like "larger than life."

Maddox was pretty big to a lot of 11 year olds in 1998. How were we to know he'd turn out to be a dime a dozen?

Yeah, not my point. I'll rephrase. He went, in my mind, from being this incorporeal force of sheer enmity, unconstrained by the drab prosaicness of a physical form, to being the stock IT guy from Central Casting. I don't know that there's any gene configuration that wouldn't have resulted in a similar disappointment, unless he was 9 feet tall and breathed fire.

Yeah, but if anyone has earned such slanderous scorn on the web, it's the proto-troll and his weaselly, scruffy, makes women feel uncomfortable in the elevator self.

Maybe? I dunno. I kinda like Maddox.

The important thing is that we determine who has rightly earned slanderous scorn on the internet, and who is just there for backup.

Is that guy at the Saved by the Bell malt shop? It kinda looks like it, I guess.
