I am pretty sure they despised making that last record. It took BoB to light a fire under their ass to finish. Ed spoke of being happy it was over, etc...

The only reason it was made was to find an excuse to tour and make some money.

My prediction is that they will find another significant reason to tour sometime in late 2016 or 2017 (hall of fame isn't a bad guess) and then won't finish (or even start) the album until after. It will be 2018 or 2019, before another album. They have been extending out time between albums from 2 years to 3 years, and then LB was about 4. I think the next one is a 5 or 6 year gap. Hopefully they will make it worth the wait.

Might be an unpopular opinion but I'd like another solo Eddie album (non-Uke edition).
As I get older I'm a sucker for the Just Breathe/The End/Sirens/Future Days sappy shit. And for those that dislike it, it'll be contained to an Eddie solo-project rather than the next PJ album.

I would like both, please.

I do agree that most of those songs would be better suited for an album like that (though sirens was mike)

No, sappy Ed is terrible. But if he wraps the sentiment in a story that has sad tendencies, it works great (e.g. Man of the Hour). But I guess that wouldn't be classified as sappy

If they took less time between albums to produce a new one, I think the end product would be better. Would love an album full of songs that they nailed on 1 or 2 takes, without all the fixin'.....thinking about how they used to record on the road and such. I think a "rushed" album with less polish is what they need. Make it a freakin' download only album. I dunno know.

An acoustic album in general would be interesting.

they should partner with neil young for another album. I think they would actually enjoy that, and they could take their time. and the quality would not suck bc neil doesn't tolerate shit.

I would like to think they have recorded something this year but very doubtful in reality time for stone and jeff to take the reigns on this one ed doesn't seem to havemuch enthusiasm for new pj music.

I'm not convinced Stone cares about PJ at all. Sometimes I think it's only Jeff.
