I'm trying to remember what other clips there were, but for the life of me I can't remember.

I remember hearing clips of the chorus and a verse of Just Breathe separately and was adamant that they couldn't be the same song.

I was about to bring that up.

I actually thought of you as I was posting it, because you're the only person I thin who has ever brought that moment up since it happened.

Ha I remember that and someone was so very sure it was the same song because they were in the same key. That argument could have applied to many other songs but whoever that was certainly was right.

I'll say it's the wine.

They were Verizon clips of every song. I think we got a new one every week. Later we got longer (and different) snippets from the Amazon previews.

Yes, the clip made it sound spectacular. I still like it OK but that section is the best part.
The way it cut into Amongst the Waves was a little misleading. I think it jumped in on an offbeat, and the whole rhythm and flow of the vocals sounded off kilter and awesome.

I was positive that ATW was going to rival Given to Fly when I heard that snippet.

Now it's one of my least favorite songs on that album.

It was the biggest disappointment.

I remember everyone complaining that Got Some sounded too slow (compared with the live performance). I think eventually everyone realised it just sounded a little weak/neutered.

I'll say it, I still love Amongst the Waves. Great fucking tune.

If half the songs on LB are as good, I'll call the album a smashing success.

Agree. I think the flaws across the album brought the quality of this one down in people's minds.

It is an awesome tune. One I have to be in the mood for, but when I am I just get lost in it. It's beautiful. Wish they jammed it out a lil more, but still fantastic.

I still have a gut feeling that this album is going to be quite spectacular. Lightning Bolt really does it for me. Future Days I almost can't stomach, but the Sirens soundcheck just re-enforces my excitement.

There is no confirmation that that's Sirens at the soundcheck. Also, the soundcheck song doesn't really sound like what people have described as Sirens.
