Context matters. When Lightning Bolt came out, my son had just been born. That album was magical to me. Then it faded a bit and then Gigaton came out and I was like, whoa, this is what Pearl Jam sounds like lol. Of course, Gigaton itself was majorly helped (for me at least) by the pandemic context.

It's got high points for me- Pendulum is wonderful, and Sirens is beautiful even if I have some technical issues with its construction. Swallowed Whole and Yellow Moon are both "almost there" songs for me that I still enjoy quite a bit. Future Days has lost a lot of its initial magic (I was very into it at first, probably part of that newborn context).

Pendulum is great, specially live yes. Sirens too, i like My Fathers Son, Mym and Yellow Moon. But the album is kinda unlistaneable for me specially because of how afwul the guitars sound, the way Ed is mixed and how the drums sound.

I think no, but i basically listen to pretty much every boot i can. Also i saw Pendulum live twice i think?

The Lightning Bolt was 18 years long. Plenty of boots from which to choose.
