Which celebration was better, 2007 or 2013?

2007 I was at work. 2013 I was waiting for the light rail in Charlotte with Ruddo.

But for 2007 my job was to pull highlights from the playoff games.

2007, but only because I was working 60 + hours a week at my crappy ad sales job and could barely get home in time for 7th inning stretch.

I'd really like to go to a WS game someday. Def something on my bucket list. I'd rather go when I don't have a dog in the fight so I can enjoy the ride. If it was the Rangers I'd be a nervous wreck.

I tried to get tickets to games 3 and 4 at Coors but Ticketmaster crashed. I was so fucking mad! My friend (Bo Sox fan) went to game 4 as well as game 3 in Saint Louis in 2004.

A lot of the bagging on the cubs I hear is coming from a 'my team is stuck in baseball hell' place. The white sox are going to suck for a long time before things get better. Meanwhile the cubs farm system has produced assets that are the envy of the league and now producing at the big league level. The butthurt is strong and of course sad arguments from the past are going to be lazily tossed out there to try and keep cub fans in their place.

For me, there will never be another series like the '04 ALCS.

Not so sure about that. Their rotation could be pretty nasty in a year or two. Sale, Quintana, Rondon and Francelis Montas should be ready next year sometime.

I have not watched them play a lot so lament would be a better resource but I don't think Ventura was a great pick as manager.

"Bagging on" and pointing out that maybe you should wait till your team actually wins a title (or at least gets to the World Series) to start posting about how worried you are about how the city is going to react when they do are two different things.

Exactly what #BRL just said.

They are going to be stuck in mediocrity with samardzja/robertson/cabrerra type offseasons that dont make them any better.

But by all means, enjoy Adam Eaton and Klay Thompsons brother.

Loving what I am seeing out of Rougned Odor at second for the Rangers. He was awful the first few weeks of the season. He was very overwhelmed and could not hit a breaking ball to save his life. He was hitting .144 so was sent back down to AAA in May. Made some great adjustments was recalled in mid June and is currently raking. Since his recall he is hitting .335, with 10 homers and an OPS over .900. Really needs to develop a little more patient for his skill set as he is probably a #2 hitter long term. But not bad for a kid who is only 21. He also plays like he is angry at the world which I dig. Huge reason we are leading the final WC spot right now in the AL.

The ALCS was bigger than the World Series, that probably doesn't make sense to most people but Sox fans know what I'm talking about.

Agreed. The WS was anti climactic after that ALCS. No way you guys were going to lose.
