You should really be ashamed of all this blatant fat-shaming
Fat people are gross. That's just a fact.

Ghostbusters.
I saw it on a movie theatre...a dream come true for me. I was obsessed with this movie and eveyrthing in the GB franchise when i was a kid and to finally see this on a big screen...man.
The fxs are still holding up real well.

ive probably seen it a dozen and a half times during various stages
other than lois figuring out who he is after 4 interviews and calling him clark every chance in public she could i think it is very solid. it bothered me the gajillion dollars of damage he did as superman wouldnt do that. but this is about him being a super man who becomes Superman

An American Hippie in Israel was kind of awesome.

Kelly Reichardt's Night Moves. It was OK, not great. Whatever happened to American neo-neo-realism? It had a moment, but seems to be gone. This was alright, but definitely different from her last three. Ramin Bahrani's last movie (At Any Price, with Zach Efron) was entirely different from his previous three---and was a certified piece of junk. Ryan Fleck and Anna Boden had two movies that would fall into the genre. But their last one, It's Kind of A Funny Story, was again, totally different. Lance Hammer of Ballast hasn't even made any movies since that one.
I can't think of anyone who has really picked up the baton for these guys, who were responsible for some of the best movies of the first decade of the century.

That movement was crap and now it's pretty much (unfortunately) infected loads of indie movies. Not sure why you think it's dead.
Also, At Any Price is pretty underrated.

At Any Price is a total piece of garbage. Dennis Quaid makes a dumb face for an hour and a half and nothing interesting happens.

Heh, nice oversimplification. I get why people hate it; it comes off as really cheesy and sappy, but that's because it's a '50s melodrama in modern clothing. That's exactly what I like about it. Though part of me wishes they had gone all out and just set it during the turn of the century with stormy skies and a sweeping score.
