Lots of women on my FB are sharing stories of sexual assault today, mostly about the moments of "casual" invasiveness that Trump describes in the tape (groping, rubbing, kissing), with many saying stuff like that was their first sexual experience; some are a bit more graphic. My wife made a post in solidarity and one of my uncles commented, "WOW, tough election, you've got to choose between the NAUGHTY and the CORRUPT."

Kelly Ayotte, the GOP senator from New Hampshire who's facing a tough re-election fight, has said she's writing in Mike Pence. Please, feel free to write in Pence if you live in NH, North Carolina, Ohio, or Florida. Great plan.
I've been reading some entertaining stuff pointing out that GOP electors could just vote for Pence as president instead. Problem with it, though, is that it means jack shit if they can't get 270.
Would they be violating state laws binding them to vote for the candidate their state went with? If so what would the consequences be?
Actually, they're not bound to vote for the candidate that wins the popular vote in the state. Technically, they can vote for whoever they want to. Don't think it's happened very much tho.

Well, it is a bit of an unanswered puzzle. As chud and ST noted, those laws are pretty straightforward, but as I said, if it ever got challenged in court I think there's a good chance they'd be ruled unconstitutional, for the reason you state.

TRUMP SUPPORTERS now know that GOPe are 100% our enemies now: They're actively trying to DESTROY Trump: @Reince @GOP @SenateGOP @HouseGOP
So much of this chatter going on right now.

It's been that way for awhile. The sooner the Republicans realize they can't negotiate with terrorists, the sooner they can rebuild.

Until yesterday, I sincerely thought that all the talk of the GOP being on the verge of being a failed party was overblown. I thought they'd get it figured out in time for Paul Ryan to defeat HRC for the Presidency in 2020, holding onto the House all along. But there seems to be more internal hatred and distrust than I realized.

Remember when Paul Ryan and his people were the crazy ones?

It'll be pretty wild if it turns out that the repubs misguessed and their constituents were all #teamtrump in this.
