found out that a former coworker died from covid suddenly
i must have been on 100 calls with him
great man, incredibly kind, knowledgeable
was heavy set so may have had a related underlying issue. incredibly sad. life comes and can go fast.

also heard from another friend he had a 43-year old buddy who had covid, was a moderate-to-severe case - thought he was getting better, after 8-9 days texted him he 'got hiss ass kicked but thinks he has it beat', and passed 3 days later
a reminder to still use significant caution

I certainly hope not, but it's a definite possibility.
Here in my state (Western Australia) we have just today recorded our 605th case since this started up. Our state takes up roughly 1/3 of the Australian (and so then US) landmass. Our borders remain closed.
We seem to be in a fair position for now, but who knows (and WHO doesn't know) how it will all turn out.
