So this is this year's John Carter?

Spoiler: show
Although I would love to see more movies made from the Barsoom series.
Financially maybe, but John Carter was actually decent.
I didn't know you felt this way. I thought I was the only one on this entire board that liked that movie. I read all the books as well.
It's not perfect and, sure, it could have been better, but there are some great moments in there, and it's a very entertaining movie overall. Definitely didn't deserve the punishment it received.
i felt the same way about the lone ranger please don't hate me

That movie was entertaining, it just suffered from Deppism.

That movie was terrible, it just suffered from Verbinskiism.

jupiter ascending is directed by the wachowski siblings, so it's safe to assume it's terrible

My uncle sees pretty much every movie that comes out and never walks out of any. He travels a lot so that is what he does with his free time. That being said, he said he was very close to walking out of Jupiter Ascending.

I still want to see it with LV, though.

At least it's under two hours. Guess the Wachowskis were feeling merciful.

I haven't seen it. I was a big fan of the cartoon growing up, so I was reluctant to see it.

Watched This is Where I Leave You and Chef this weekend. Both pretty solid flicks. I really enjoyed TIWILY, then again, I like dramadies. I also really liked Tina Fey in this one.

Chef was good too (not as good though), I guess it was kind of a dramady as well. It had it's moments, but also had some corniness too.

My wife and I watched the last 2/3 of Silence of the Lambs last night. This is probably in my all-time top 10.
