It really is. Most of the time it is obvious he has no intention of actually shooting the ball at the hoop.

Granted I say this as a fan of D-Wade, who has perfected the pump fake/lean in move. Maybe it's homerism, which is definitely possible, but I see Wade's move as a skill (which would be totally obnoxious if I weren't a fan) that at least only gets rewarded when he gets the defender to do something unlike Harden basically hooking guys' hands with his arms to get calls.

It is an important distinction to be made. Wade's move can be cheap but not nearly as often as Harden's.

I think they could put a scare into Cleveland if they make it that far, but I'm not very confident they will. They've been hitting jump shots at a great rate these first two games and I doubt that will last. They also are much better at home than on the road so this series could still get interesting.

Heat/Raptors would make for an entertaining second round series.

For as bummed as I am about Curry's ankle (I think it is worse than they are letting on) I can't stop laughing at the Rockets' bench reaction to Hardens game winner. It seems like they enjoy watching him as much as we do.

Heart and hustle can win a lot of regular season games but the Celtics deficiencies are really evident in the playoffs.

I liked when Marcus Smart fouled Krover's elbow with his face.

Lil' Isaiah played big. Was really worried we were looking at another first round sweep. <phew>

Dodged a bullet on the Isiah suspension.

I dunno, while it's reported as a long shot, it appears that if Durant decides to land in the East, the Celts are the front runner. Of course, trader Danny would need another piece to make Boston more attractive, but with Isiah Thomas under complete control in a very team friendly deal + all the picks...well, while I am excited for tonight's tilt vs. ATL, the off season could produce more fireworks.

From a weather, tax and lifestyle perspective probably 90% of players would rather be in Miami. The other 10% wouldn't pick Boston. We don't get marquee free agents. We could probably sign some guys from your local Y who would rather live in Boston than Miami.

A 0 percent chance of the C's landing a top free agent as you describe is a bit strong.

Garnett was a trade, but the C's needed to put in a big effort to attract him here so that he'd agree to the contract extension. Agree that in general, Boston has suffered when some free agents prefer what you outlined above, but Coach Stevens, the picks, the wins, Thomas, the cap space have me feeling optimistic.

History is on my side. I hope I'm wrong. We did get a past his prime Dominique Wilkins once.

But we're about to make weed totally legal in Mass. That's gotta help.
