Re: What are you drinking right now?

I had the worst flat white of my life today. My friend's cappuccino was very wet. This day is done for me, stick a fork in it.
I nearly passed out when the barista didn't rinse the frothing mug very well in between froths. I'm just going to take it easy today. Thanks!durdencommatyler wrote:That post reads like you had a stroke, pep. Feel better.
I'm drinking water.
It depends on the day. Most days that I'm early in, I want to read on the train. So I wait until I get to mid town before I get coffee. Lately, I've been going to Greggory's. When time allows, I go over to 40th & 9th at hit up Empire, which is my favorite coffee in the city. In a pinch, if the train is late or it's too fucking cold to go very far, I'll just hit up Starbucks because it's basically right next door.tragabigzanda wrote:What's your workday coffee routine, durds? Brew at home? Grab a cup before the subway, or once you get out? Where are you buying? You've got Lincoln Station near your subway entrance, right? And then Cafe Grumpy at Grand Central? Or are both of those too far out of your way?
i don't miss winters in ny but at least it doesn't smell like piss and hot wet garbage and you can enjoy that coffee on the streetdurdencommatyler wrote:It depends on the day. Now, if I'm also having food for breakfast, there's a deli on 43rd that I'll go to, grab a bagel sandwich and a cup from there. It's not terrible and gets the job done.
If I'm late in to work and/or I'm not reading on the train ride in (listening to a podcast or music or something), I usually grab coffee from one of three places in my hood: Little Zelda, Breukelen Coffee or (this brand new place that I'm in love with) Seven Point. Occasionally, I'll go to Cafe Forte. But I've been doing that less and less, though I'm not sure why.
In the summer I make my own iced coffee a lot at home and bring that in.
It's one of the things I worry about the most when I think of leaving the city. I don't know what I'd do without options.tragabigzanda wrote:durdencommatyler wrote:It depends on the day. I far prefer winter in the city to summer in the city.doug rr wrote:i don't miss winters in ny but at least it doesn't smell like piss and hot wet garbage and you can enjoy that coffee on the street
