Re: NBA Thread
Alright cool, so, it was a pretty big deal for the Hawks to beat the Celtics in Boston....mainly because that has never happened in Atlanta.
Sets us up for a good fun next edition of a 4 game sweep by the Cavs.

Re: NBA Thread
The Cavs will go cold from outside and revert to some bad habits that will cost them at least one game in this series.
Time for Delly to step up like he did in the ECF last year.

This is definitely Delly time.
I hope it will be a better series this year and Horford plays more physical. At least Sefalosha can play this year. They have been blocking a ton of shots anyway.

Cavs in six. They've sat too long. I think you are in for some fun basketball.Electromatic wrote:Alright cool, so, it was a pretty big deal for the Hawks to beat the Celtics in Boston....mainly because that has never happened in Atlanta.

I don't disagree with these picks either. I tend to always go with more games than less when I'm the fence between a 5/6/7 game series.4/5 wrote:Warriors sweep

LeBatard today:
"All the doctors the Heat are talking to are saying, and they’re the foremost authorities on this stuff, ‘Hey, a second recurrence of a blood clot situation could be catastrophic, where you’ve got a death on the court.'”

That fan grabbing Adams' arm is my favorite part of that final play.

Re: NBA Thread
That was an insane ending. Ginobli was clearly fouled by Waiters, but oversold it by A LOT because he's one of the all-time great floppers. Plus Leonard was holding the back of Westbrook's jersey, and the craziest of all a fucking fan trying to impede Adams? Horrible officiating as usual in the NBA, but I'm ok with nothing getting called & just letting things play out. Spurs had more than enough time & should have gotten a better shot & won it.

Re: NBA Thread
I would argue that the officiating in the NBA is pretty decent in most cases, but they blew it here. It all depends on what the league wants to enforce. They could crack down on some things, but they feel like the product is pretty good right now. Basketball is insanely difficult to officiate in the flow of the game.swan wrote:That was an insane ending. Definitely a tough task in that moment. For argument's sake, would you like to have seen just the Waiters/Ginobli call made? I feel like the other stuff was just as deserving of a call, but who knows?
