Not even this. Ask him about his poop regime.Bi_3 wrote:VinylGuy wrote:ask him about the new album
No don’t! Respectfully ask him about his colored infinity sign tattoo or the star spangled banner or whatever he’s doing that’s not the album

Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

Re: 11th album rumors and speculation
it is what it is. i have a bunch of artist friends in the community, and unfortunately they lost a lot of funding a few years ago for their local art fairs when sponsors moved over to this big new one, which is much more ludicrous and aimed at the very wealthy / tech population, and aimed at supporting already moderately-to-highly successful artists. it's kinda like a company pulling funding for a small local band festival, and supporting Coachella instead.swan wrote:It’s a legit fair, but you must know more about than I do.bodysnatcher wrote:it makes so much sense that he's performing at that art fair
no knock against it, every big city has one of these, and any chance artists get to sell some shit to rich people is all well and good. just sucks to see a lot of people trying to get a footing in the art scene and industry get rolled over.

Re: 11th album rumors and speculation
Have you ever seen Mike McCready paint on shit live?? I have!
Josh K from the Chili’s did about 40 minutes straight of ambient/noise/pedal stuff on his guitar and it was really fantastic. Also Mike’s collaborator was painting on Josh as he was playing. So impressed with that guy.
Honestly, you guys probably would’ve hated it, but it was a fun little curio for me. Mike is the man, and is looking hot with his grey & white facial hair. His singing wasn’t as bad as I had feared it would be.

I have thoughts & some more detailed refutations of some of your points, and I too deal with the issue of artists getting pushed out/marginalized in these west coast cities. Almost on a daily basis.bodysnatcher wrote:it is what it is. i have a bunch of artist friends in the community, and unfortunately they lost a lot of funding a few years ago for their local art fairs when sponsors moved over to this big new one, which is much more ludicrous and aimed at the very wealthy / tech population, and aimed at supporting already moderately-to-highly successful artists. it's kinda like a company pulling funding for a small local band festival, and supporting Coachella instead.swan wrote:It’s a legit fair, but you must know more about than I do.bodysnatcher wrote:it makes so much sense that he's performing at that art fair

Been working in galleries, museums & at fairs for 10 years now, and have definitely noticed the worst “art scene” decay in Seattle of any city.
But TL,DR: large fairs are a symptom & not a cause.

ST Anger sucks but since 2008 Metallica has put out two studios, a collaboration with Lou Reed and an EP. I would happily listen to the best songs off Death Magnetic and Hardwire over anything PJ has put out over the same time period.

I dont care if Metallica released an album every year since whatever they suck hard. They havent been remotely interesting since Load. So what the fuck is this comparison about?

Bammer was baffled Metallica was still a thing but figured their fans would say the same about PJ. Verb said he'd rather listen to St Anger than BS & LB. I said I don't know about ST Anger but I liked the last two Metallica albums better than the last two PJ. I got the impression a couple users didn't know Metallica released stuff after Death Magnetic so I listed them. So there is the history of the last two pages.
