Started Nioh this morning. It is scratching that Bloodborne itch.

I spent over an hour trying to beat the first major boss in Nioh. Stayed up way past my bedtime.

Yeah man, Nioh slots right into that bloodborne groove. The loot drops get crazy and with all of the expansions, different weapon styles, and combos to learn, it will keep you busy for a long time.

Honestly, the combos are going to be overwhelming. I've never been good a remembering them in other games, a good reason why fighting games and I have never really gotten along. I really dig the look and feel of the game. It introduces enough new concepts to make the gameplay feel fresh, yet familiar. It is so smooth on the Pro.

God of War releases in April. Good deal. Really like the direction they are taking with this franchise.

How big?
2 inche... er

4tb
Damn I thought the biggest internal HD available for PS4 was a 2TB. All of the 4TBs I had seen were too big for the HD slot. Is yours a Seagate? Gotta check out amazon now....
sorry i missed this. yes, that's exactly what it is. but i lied, you're right: it's 2tb. i hold my head in shame.

Yep. This along with the new Spider Man and Red Dead 2 are my most anticipated so far this year. I'm assuming Last of Us 2 won't be out till 2019. That new Ghost of Tsushima game looks intriguing as well....

I'm so glad Sony is committed to single player experiences rather than games as services.

Holy shit. The YT still was weird enough and I was like, "That kind of saber? What?" and then it starts and yup, that kind of saber. And then it just starts out slow and then straight up murder dance. Amazing.

As someone who typically plays games a year or more after they come out, I am LOVING my PS4 and all the great single-player games. I have so much to look forward to.

They actually make artistic statements and introduce new game/story mechanics. Even their series with sequels don't wear out their welcome. They do it right.

I know you liked Horizon: Zero Dawn, that's probably the next big one on my list.

Agreed, while not a PS4 exclusive, I'm really hoping RDR2 can deliver another amazing single player experience and not go down the road of GTAV and milk the Online component for years on in. Some of my fondest gaming memories involve exploring and getting lost in the frontier of the last RDR.

Also another recommendation for Horizon here. Game is gorgeous.

I'm holding out hope it can do both. I agree, RDR is a classic. Hope they can top it.

Downloaded Celeste on the Switch and What Remains of Edith Finch on the PS4 to enjoy over the weekend and into next week.

I can already tell I'm going to love Celeste.

I have no desire to watch someone play a game on Twitch for normal purposes, but I am sucker for watching a record breaking speed run.
