Oh really, George? People don't actually realize that? DO YOU FUCKING REALIZE THAT?

You gave us a cast of characters that we loved. We didn't give a shit about the spaceships, idiot. Is the Falcon, cool? Duh, but we don't give a shit about it if Han Solo isn't flying it. Are light sabers rad? You bet! But if it's not Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan or Vader wielding them, who gives a good goddamn? Leia doesn't have a neat-o pod-racer nor does she swing a saber and you know what? WE LIKE HER AND GIVE A SHIT WHAT HAPPENS TO HER.

Wanna know how I know it's about characters and not spaceships, George? Because you went back to the well and made three NEW movies about characters nobody liked or gave a shit about and then you went and filled the goddamn things with... you guessed it, FUCKING SPACESHIPS!

You went back into the originals and ADDED SPACESHIPS.

It's YOU George Lucas who has no clue what your movies are about. Don't try to throw your fans under the bus or condescend when you clearly don't have any idea what you're talking about.
As stated before, he comes across as a victim/whiney bitch.

I wonder how long it will be before they remake things like Star Wars or Lord of the rings?

In our lifetime?

I would not at all be surprised to see Episodes 1-3 remade in our lifetime. I highly doubt 4-6 get remade in our lifetime. Or ever, really.

LotR is different. I could see someone wanting to offer a different interpretation of the material within our lifetime.

To be fair to Anakin, the whiniest line in the entire saga is Luke's in A New Hope about going to Tosche Station to get power converters.

Has anyone totaled/compiled the running time of the released footage? Are we at 5 minutes yet?

Someone did a chronological supercut a couple of days ago containing most of the released footage. It was a little over 4 minutes.

Is the plan to release the entire movie before it comes out in little vines and such? Hee, hee.

It FEELS like a lot, but it probably isn't. It has been very good at not giving away on plot, while alluding to themes.

I've seen reference to plot spoilers in many places now due to that children's book leak. So please be very mindful of what you say here that's not coming directly out of trailers or officially released promotional material

Yeah, four total non-context minutes from a 2 and a half hour movie doesn't really mean much.

I am not an anti-cgi guy, but I like hearing this
The ultimate aim, he says, is not to make The Force Awakens’ practical characters look like CGI -- but the opposite. "One of the things that JJ was very keen to do, and we all were keen to do, was to make the CG feel like the animatronic," says Scanlan. "We wanted to say: OK, what are the qualities of a practical puppet, that we need to be able to put into a digital character? Great effort has been made to making those characters feel part of the real world, and to draw those textures, reflections, etc, in a way that maybe past characters haven’t."

I'm hearing screen caps of the intro scroller have leaked(or have been leaked).

I'm not going looking for that. That's too much.

I'd love to read that. But I can't seem to find it. If someone does and they don't want to post it, feel free to PM me. I don't see how the opening crawl could possibly spoil anything for me.
