Well, I wasn't expecting to see Tom Hardy's penis tonight, but I did.

Re: What movies are you watching?
By the end, I was convinced that the main point of the film was an inside joke by the director to get slow motion shots of dick flopping around within the context of violence.

I really enjoyed The Theory of Everything. Like, a lot more than I was expecting. Eddie Redmayne absolutely deserves the statue.

THE THEORY OF EVERYTHING IS AN IMPRESSIVELY ACTED PIECE OF SHIT. THE PERFORMANCE MAY DESERVE ACKNOWLEDGMENT BUT THAT WEAK-ASS TV-MOVIE DOESN'T

Excellent direction, art direction, make-up and scoring. There's a lot to love about the movie. The direction blew me away.

The direction was one of the most boring-conservative ever. Not a single good frame. It was a Hallmark movie.durdencommatyler wrote:Excellent direction, art direction, make-up and scoring. There's a lot to love about the movie. The direction blew me away.

The brilliant use and repetition of pattern. The juxtaposition of wide angle and full frame narrative. The subtle layering of splatter/star imagery. The winding and unwinding, the use of spiral motif. The clever interplay of color and theme which allowed the actors to do their job and not have to rely on heavy-handedness. Yeah, super boring. You're right. Zero artistry. I can't believe anyone would enjoy this piece of shit.VinylGuy wrote:The direction was one of the most boring-conservative ever. Not a single good frame. Its a very safe movie, directed by the most conventional way of directing this type of movies.durdencommatyler wrote:The brilliant use and repetition of pattern. Re: What movies are you watching?
no, no....it was like a tv movie. There is nothing special about the approach of the director here. The score was mediocre too.durdencommatyler wrote:Yeah, there are no boobs if that's what you mean.VinylGuy wrote:Its a very safe movie, directed by the most conventional way of directing this type of movies.durdencommatyler wrote:The brilliant use and repetition of pattern.
