I have relatives in Toronto that I want to visit some day, and I might as well time it while the Sox are in town.philpritchard wrote:Guys, I'm thinking of a trip to Boston when the Jays are in town in July. I know a lot of people hate it, but I really want to see Fenway (I'm big on baseball history) and Cooperstown is pretty much on the way.

enjoy it for what it is and you won't be disappointed.philpritchard wrote:Guys, I'm thinking of a trip to Boston when the Jays are in town in July. I know a lot of people hate it, but I really want to see Fenway (I'm big on baseball history) and Cooperstown is pretty much on the way.
Well, the rest of MLB has spent the last 20 years trying to build replicas of it, so it cant be that many people.MattA75 wrote:who doesn't?numbers wrote:And who hates Fenway?

I've seen them play Toronto more than any other club, and there's always tons of Jays fans there. Try to get tickets on the third-base side, out towards left field, they tend to congregate up the line near the Green Monster.philpritchard wrote:Guys, I'm thinking of a trip to Boston when the Jays are in town in July. I don't know why either...numbers wrote:I've actually always wanted to see a game at the Skydome. I dont know why.
Probably not. But most other team's stadiums don't have 100 years of history behind them, either.MattA75 wrote:The seats suck and are uncomfortable for any grown male to sit in
it's a (historical) shithole...are all the other teams building ballparks with giant beams, seats that don't face home plate, and glorified obstructed view (aka "Monster") seats?
See, I get it as a tourism/baseball fan from out of town thing. I'd like to get to Wrigley at some point myself. And the size of the seats is part of the experience...once you've been stuffed into one of those things between two other normal sized guys, you'll start to see why people like me who live in the area and would go somewhat regularly chooses not tophilpritchard wrote:Probably not. When I got really into baseball in the early '90s, the three places I wanted to go some day were Fenway, Wrigley and Tiger Stadium. I've already missed out on one, and I would be surprised if the size of the seats in any way impacts the experience.
