Holy fkn crap. I am in the Isolated Plateu, just started the game last night.

Happened upon one Korok seed so far. Read up on how to recognize them, but not a location map. Wandered for nearly an hour just now and only found one more.

Just explore and try to consult no walkthroughs or guides.

Don't worry about seeds so much as shrines when you are first starting out.

I'm by myself for the next couple of days. Man, is it easy to lose hours of the day in BotW

Two questions about BOTW, to save me some time and anxiety.

1. Yes or No: At some point you get permanent weapons/shields that don’t break? (Such as the master sword)

2. Money seems hard to come by aside from selling precious gems like topaz or whatever. Should I sell that whenever I find it, or will I need to use it for something else later like passage through a gate, or some other (side) quest?

No specifics or spoilers please. Just yes/no answer. Thanks!

1. Not really.

2. Pay attention to descriptions of items. Sell what makes sense according to them.

2. So the ones ending in “known to fetch a high price” always sell?

Your idea is more clever than the game's, I think. But no.

Gather ingredients of all kinds. Get cooking.
Sell the meals/potions.

Easy money. Quickly.

The weapons will continue to break but eventually you'll have enough in your inventory and can find replacements easy enough that you don't care.

You can always find more gems by killing a Talus or go ore hunting in the mountains so spend em as you need em.

Save your good weapons for difficult enemies so they don't break as easily mid-fight.

Also true. And once you get the Master Sword just use that by default because if it runs out it'll be back in 10 minutes.

I found weapon breakage to be a bigger issue early on.

Same. It was an adjustment, but led to more experimentation in how I approached combat.

That and weapon storage. My second time through and I'm first going around and activating all towers. I come across all kinds of weapons that I want to keep but never have enough storage

The snowball bowling game is the best way to get money

I really hope they change up the deal with the weapons in the next one

I hope fully upgraded gear has better effects - i.e. a fully upgraded climbing gear would allow climbing in the rain.
