no one is going undefeated this year, so at least their first loss came to another really good team, NO will be just fine

It would take some key injuries for this not to happen.

well they do have two games against the Chiefs, as well as the games against Indy (beat Seattle), New England (beat New Orleans), and Houston (Schaub's gone now and they'll have a new coach by then).

The Chiefs are over achieving if you ask me. Denver's defense does need to shape up but I'll take manning, welker, decker, Thomas &Thomas and their rb corp over any team at this point.

i wouldn't bet against the chargers the rest of the year. they have above average talent, yet know they're fucked with two 6-0 teams in their division. they'll be playing with little pressure and nothing to lose every week.

Broncos and Chiefs will split their division series. They always win their home stand when both teams are at least mediocre, let alone good.

i dont see them making it all the way, someone will catch them on a bad day, jacksonville gave them a run, if they do that against a better team then they will get the L

i have no one i would pick over them for a SB win, but i dont think undefeated is somehting they will be worried about

It really sucks for Manning that it's going to be a cold weather Super Bowl this year. Also, Roger Goodell is a liar. That is all.

I suspect that's right.

Teams that can score and expose Denver's D will also be a threat, a la the Cowboys game. The defense should improve as guys get healthy and return from suspension, but they're still the weak link of the team for sure. So, the Chargers games, @NE, @Indy ... those are the ones that are likely to present some problems barring injury, guys sitting, or completely flukey bad days.

In other words, get ready for some massive overreactions during the difficult 4-game stretch that follows the bye (@SD, KC, @NE, @KC). That's a tough month. That @NE game could well be for home field advantage, though I wouldn't totally rule KC out of that discussion yet owing to their schedule if nothing else (though SD creates problems for them as well).

KC & Denver have played almost all the same teams. Therefore, if one is overachieving, maybe the other is too? Or at least not as dominant as hype would lead you to believe?

Who they've beaten:
KC-------Den
JAX-------BAL
DAL-------NYG
PHI-------OAK
NYG-------PHI
TEN-------DAL
OAK-------JAX

So that leaves "a win against BAL" vs. "a win against TEN" as the deciding factor. BAL beat HOU where TEN lost to HOU, but is this enough to truly claim one team is a SB favorite and the other is dismissed? I don't know the answer, I'm just asking the question.

I do think KC's defense is legit. Their offense however is built purely on short throws and check downs. Denver's offense has been so much better than anyone else's their is no way I can bet against it. Over 44 ppg. That's almost 20 more points per game than KC! The flip side is Denver's D has been really bad. I think Denver's offense will be able to over

Whelm KCs D enough and the defense will manage KCs check down offense to have the edge. I think they will be good games.

it's the age-old question: which side of the ball benefits more from an inferior opponent?

what i mean is, the argument could be made that KC's D and DEN's O have equally benefited from their weak schedules.

i love this chart which shows the real disparity between these two teams: http://wp.advancednflstats.com/teamstat ... zation.php
I think their two games against each other, home-and-home, will be great to watch.
