This song has held up for me much better than I expected. MYM didn't really hold up for me. Its ok, but Getaway is great.

Its not better than Cant Keep or Brain of J, but is much better than Breakerfall and whatever opened those other two albums.

Not close to Last Exit but not much is.

Brain of J is about the level where it sits for me right now.

All three of those songs are leaps and bounds better than Getaway.

I think we should keep arguing about it for pages on end. We'll get to the answer.

I'd only put getaway ahead of sometimes and breakerfall, but that's not a knock on getaway. A lot of stiff competition in the ol' one slot.

Spot on. This is certainly a badass opener, no doubt. Playing it on a loop.

i think the fact its even being considered w/ songs like last exit and brain of j shows how great it is. those songs are classics, and this song hasnt even come out yet.

i still think the best opener is sometimes, but i feel like that and cant keep should be ranked by themselves.

I love this one. I have only listened to the whole album one time through but this is the one that I am finding myself wanting to listen to on repeat more than any other.

The lyrics are interesting to me. Where MYM is more angry and "those people need to change" this one is more live and let live. Interesting to go from this in Getaway to that in MYM on the album.

Great song, I look forward to hearing some live version of it.
